The recipe for this bowl is super simple. 

  1. Prepare sushi rice according to package directions.
  2. Roll tofu in starch and then fry in a pan with hot oil until hot. 
  3. Then prepare desired toppings and cut into bite-sized pieces. Allow tofu to cool slightly and slice as well.
  4. For the sauce, mix vegan mayo and sriracha. Add a little oil if desired to make the sauce a little more liquid. 
  5. Place the sushi rice and vegetables in bowls and serve with the sauce.

ingredients

  • For the Sushi Bowls
  • 250 g sushi rice

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 large carrot

  • 4 nori leaves

  • 200 g tofu (crispy fried)

  • 1 tablespoon starch (e.g. cornstarch)

  • For the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha

  • 1 tbsp vegan mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp oil

instructions

  • Prepare sushi rice according to package directions and let cool.
  • Cut tofu in half from the long side and cut into oblong sticks. Then roll in starch and fry in a pan with hot oil until hot.
  • Cut avocado in half, remove flesh from skin with a tablespoon and cut into long strips.
  • Wash lettuce and shred leaves slightly. Peel carrot and cucumber and cut into long strips.
  • Divide rice between two bowls and spread the rice and vegetables.
  • For the sauce, mix sriracha, vegan mayonnaise and oil. Then pour over the bowls and serve.
